1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tbsp lemon Juice

Apple and cinnamon is the flavorsome combination, where apples give perfect sweetness and cinnamon give amazing flavor to the cake. This is an incredible delicious recipe and one of my favorite cake recipe for summer baking. It’s super moist, easy to make and loved by everyone.

Cinnamon is used as an aromatic condiment and flavoring additive in a wide variety of foods. The aroma and flavor of cinnamon make cakes amazingly delicious. Whereas apple and cinnamon is the best combination, and make cake more rich in taste.

GLAZING THE CAKE

To give a cake beautiful shine just brush the cake with some honey or maple syrup once the cake is baked which is completely optional. We love to eat our cake without glazing.

INGREDIENTS

Apples- Use any type of apple you like, peeled or without peeled.
Oats and wheat flour- these can be switched with all-purpose flour.
Baking powder and baking soda- To give a cake batter good rise when baked.
Salt- To enhance the flavor.
Brown sugar and jaggery powder- You can use refined sugar if you want.
Cinnamon and vanilla extract- To give a rich flavor to the apple cake.
Oil- Use any vegetable oil.
Curd- Can be replaced with 1 cup milk and 1 tbsp vinegar.

HOW TO MAKE APPLE CINNAMON CAKE

Prepares the apple, thinly sliced the apples add cinnamon powder, lemon juice and keep aside.
In a large mixing bowl add curd, brown sugar, jaggery powder, oil, vanilla extract and whisk all the ingredients together.
Add dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, and fold it gently. Don’t over mix the batter.
Pout the batter into the 6-inch pan, and top the cake batter with thinly sliced apples.
Bake for 40 to 45 minutes at 180° C or until a skewer inserted into the middle comes out clean. Remove from the pan and let cool completely.

Preheat the oven at 180° C for 20 minutes.

Add 1 tbsp lemon juice and ½ tsp of cinnamon powder to the thinly sliced apples and set aside.

In a large mixing bowl add in curd, brown sugar, jaggery powder and mix well.

Now add in oil, vanilla essence and mix gently.

Add dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and using a spatula, fold it well.

Pour the cake batter to a 6 inch pan lined with parchment paper.

Lastly, top the cake batter with sliced apples.

Bake at 180° C for 40 minutes or until a skewer inserted in the center comes out clean.
